July Colorado Events

With summer in full swing, July is loaded with festivals. Kick things off with a July 4th fireworks show at one of the dozens of venues. Then take your pick from events happening every week through this prime travel season.

Mind Blown Telluride

Highlands Farmers Market

• Great farmer’s market with handcrafted goods and locally grown produce. Go hungry because there is plenty of homemade food for sale, fresh and ready to eat.

Civic Center EATS

• Date: Thursdays, May 19 – Sep 1, 2022
• Address: Denver
• About: Civic Center EATS is a one-stop shop for some of the best food on wheels you can find in the Mile High City. Located in Denver’s Civic Center Park, there will be about 10 to 15 food trucks selling a myriad of delicious meals.

Monte Vista 3rd Friday Art Walk

• Date: Friday, May 20, June 17, July 15, and August 19, 2022
• Address: Monte Vista
• About: Those who love art and music should head to downtown Monte Vista this summer for the 3rd Friday Art Walk. Taking place from May to August, a portion of Adams St. will be blocked off for artists, musicians, and vendors.

Film on the Rocks

• Date: Mixed Days June-August 2022
• Address: Red Rocks Amphitheater, Morrison
• About: Annual summer movie series held at Red Rocks Amphitheater showcasing a range of films. A great event for families, this event takes place on multiple days throughout the summer.

Yoga on the Rocks

• Date: Saturdays, June 4 – August 13, 2022
• Where: Morrison
• About: Every Saturday morning, yogis of all levels can begin their day by flowing in the serene and beautiful outdoor setting of the iconic Red Rock Amphitheatre.

Meekerpalooza

• Date: Fridays, June 10,17 & 24 and July 15 & 22, 2022
• Address: Meeker
• About: Held in June and July, the annual Meekerpalooza celebrates art, music, and culture.

Colorado Shakespeare Festival

• Date: Mixed days, June 5-August 7, 2022
• Where: Boulder
• About: With over 60 successful seasons under its belt, the Colorado Shakespeare Festival showcases multiple performances of some of Shakespeare’s best plays. It’s held on varying days on the CU campus.

Colorado Renaissance Festival

• Date: Saturday & Sunday, June 18 – August 7, 2022
• Address: 650 W Perry Park Ave, Larkspur (between Denver & CO Springs on I-25)
• About: The Renaissance Festival is held over 8 weekends in June, July, and August with medieval events for all ages. It’s held from 10 am until 6:30 pm each day, rain or shine. Parking is free and no pets are allowed.

Greeley Stampede

• Date: Thur-Mon, June 23 – July 4, 2022
• Address: Greeley
• About: 100th annual Stampede features a PRCA rodeo, live country music, monster trucks, a demolition derby, carnival, roller derby, fireworks, and one of the largest Independence Day parades in the nation.

Bravo! Vail Music Festival

• Date: Thur-Thur, June 23-August 4, 2022
• Address: Vail
• About: Orchestras from around the world perform in the vibrant Vail Valley during the peak of the summer season.

Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo Series

• Date: Fri & Sat, June 24 -August 27, 2022
• Address: Howelsen Hill Rodeo Grounds, Steamboat Springs
• About: Every summer on Friday and Saturday evenings, PBR rodeo cowboys compete in the Yampa Valley.

Telluride Chamber Music Festival

• Date: Mixed Days, June 25, 26, 28, 30 & July 3, 2022
• Address: Telluride
• About: Local music directors set out to curate an intriguing and cultural festival that promotes the joy of chamber music melodies and spontaneous connection between locals and tourists alike.

Vail Lacrosse Shootout

• Date: Sat-Mon, June 25 – July 4, 2022
• Address: Vail, Avon, Edward
• About: The Vail Lacrosse Shootout is a 10-day annual sports event for players ages 17 – 70. With nine divisions for players and teams, the shootout will take place over 10 days at multiple fields in Avon, Edwards, and Vail.

Telluride Plein Air Festival

• Date: Tues-Mon, June 28 – July 4, 2022
• Address: Telluride
• About: A week-long open-air art event in Telluride where artists paint outdoors and, once the week is over, sell their pieces.

Colorado Music Festival

• Date: Thur-Sun, June 30-August 7, 2022
• Address: Boulder
• About: Six weeks of symphonies, orchestras, and other classical music. It’s held at the historic Chautauqua Auditorium, now in its 44th year.

Aspen Music Festival

• Date: Thur-Sun, June 30-August 21, 2022
• Address: Aspen
• About: The Aspen Music Festival summer season is packed full of concerts, classes, performances, and a myriad of programs that attract over 100,o00 music lovers annually.

Cherry Creek Arts Festival

• About: 31st cultural celebration of visual, culinary, and performing arts since 1991.

FAN EXPO Denver

• Date: Fri-Sun, July 1-3, 2022
• Address: Colorado Convention Center, Denver
• About: Each summer, FAN EXPO Denver draws fans of comic books, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming to the Colorado Convention Center.

• About: 118th Annual Cowboys’ Roundup Days is a truly western celebration of Independence Day. Concerts, a parade, rodeo, fireworks, pancake breakfast, and other activities highlight this six-day extravaganza.

• About: The oldest annual rodeo in Colorado is back for the 137th year. Celebrate Meeker’s western heritage during the family fun Range Call.

Art in the Park

• About: A 2-day event showcasing local handmade goods from a variety of artisans.

Paonia Cherry Days

• Date: Sat-Mon, July 2-4, 2022
• Where: Paonia
• About: 76th annual Paonia Cherry Days Festival showcases Paonia’s delicious cherries. This four-day, five-night fest includes local business booths, music concerts, 5K run, talent show, skill contests, pancake breakfast, a downtown parade, and live performances.

Plateau Valley Heritage Days

• Date: Sat-Mon, July 2-4, 2022
• Address: Collbran
• About: Centered around a CPRA Rodeo, events include a parade down Main Street, a horseshoe tournament, and various games, merchants, and food vendors.

Central City Opera Festival

• Date: Sat-Sun, July 2-31, 2022
• Address: 124 Eureka St, Central City
• About: Annual summer series featuring numerous stage productions of famous operas, held at the Central City Opera House.

Mountain Town Music Series

• Date: Saturday, July 2, 9 & 30 + August 13 & 20, 2022

• About: Multi-weekend concert series with local food, craft vendors, and a bazaar.

4th of July Symphony on Your Porch

• Date: Monday, July 4, 2022

RIDE Festival

• About: 9th annual rock and roll fest featuring killer musical acts in Town Park.

Breckenridge July Art Festival

• Date: Thur-Sat, July 7-9, 2022
• Address: Downtown Breckenridge
• About: One of Colorado’s top free art festivals held over the fourth of July weekend, now in its 39th year.

High Mountain Hay Fever Bluegrass Festival

• Date: Thur-Sun, July 7 – 10, 2022
• Address: Westcliffe
• About: Four-day bluegrass festival featuring over fifteen bands that generated $53,090 for area charities in 2016. Pet-friendly camping sites are available next to the fairgrounds.

Crested Butte Wildflower Festival

• Address: Crested Butte
• About: Week of wildflower festivities including over 80 hikes, alpine yoga classes, 4×4 tours, garden tours, photography, art & cooking classes, medicinal classes using botanical ingredients, planting wildflowers at home, birding, and butterflies.

Colorado Brewers Rendezvous

• About: 26th annual beer festival held on the banks of the Arkansas River, featuring more than 75 breweries, 200 beers, and live music.

Cattlemen’s Days

• About: Weeklong festival showcasing three days of western rodeo competitions, live music, and vendors. The event claims to be the “Granddaddy of Colorado Rodeos”, since 1900.

Pikes Peak Or Bust Rodeo

Manassa Pioneer Days

Keystone Wine & Jazz Festival

Kit Carson County Fair and Pro Rodeo

• About: A western festival featuring livestock shows, rodeos, carnival rides, food vendors, arts, crafts, and plenty of live music.

Evergreen Jazz Festival

• About: A three-day musical event held across Evergreen, Colorado that aims to create awareness and heighten the appreciation for traditional jazz music.

RockyGrass

• Date: Fri-Sun, July 29-31, 2022
• Address: Planet Bluegrass Ranch, Lyons
• About: 50th annual Rockygrass music festival featuring three days of bluegrass concerts along the banks of the St. Vrain River. Camping is available, either at the festival, at Meadow Park, or at Olson Campground. Fishing and tubing are fun river activities.
